@Luciatristania - Heya, whips nails and teeth are always welcome ;) I had a look at Murielle Scherre's stuff and the 'La fille d'O', and I think yummy best sums up what I found, very sexy stuff there. I've been looking at a few online shops for clothes, and there are a few that are quite expensive, but, it is worth it as the clothes are tailored (I think that makes it worth it, I know sweet fa about it really), so I think in the new year I may be buying some cool things, with pictures going up, no worries :)

They do sound fun, and the thing is I think I went to the Glasgow one by mistake one time, going by my memory of the people there and the feeling of out of placeness we had with the overall mood.
I've found when one is, and I'm going to head along and see what it's like - I'm hopeful in the meantime I may find someone to go along with, but at the moment I can't think of anyone I know who isn't quite freaked out about it, so it's down to any new person I may meet in the pub between now and then. And dress code, I don't have anything really cool yet, but I do have some nice black threads which are fine for Burlesque nights, so I would assume fine for these kind of nights too.
@Bonnster - Scottish and alcohol, much like other countries, except there seems to be a disproportionate amount of bad drunks in the sense of attitudes of getting and being drunk, aggression, and generally being arses. I've met people from a few different countries, and they've all commented on the behaviour they find strange. Even now my mate's heart is in the right place, but his actions aren't the best, because he got me shitfaced after I had some bad news, now it doesn't help, and I really should have been more aware and not let myself drink so much, but it's bizarre that getting mortalled appears to be an accepted and well thought of way too deal with emotions and life in this society - as opposed to being dumber than the monkey that rubbed its butt and sniffed its finger before falling out the tree..
@The24th - Thanks for the advice, though when you say be casual my mind automatically cuts to a mental image of the Fonze going 'Aaaaayyyy!'. I should probably deal with that. It would probably be too optimistic to wonder if you've ever been up to anything in the scene this far up North?

Munches are an excellent way of getting into the scene, especially if you do not have any fetish clothes. They are a laid back, informal social gathering of people into the BDSM and fetish scene. Normal clothes are obligatory, as they meet in non-kinky places such as a cafe or pub. They are a good way of meeting fellow kinksters. If you go to a club, you will be expected to wear fetish clothes. You could try getting some on the cheap from eBay or a cheapo sex shop. Just be casual, introduce yourself, admit that you are new, etc, and you will eventually start meeting people.

well a lot of people wear pvc,rubber etc and there is a dresscode for each individual club but best thing to do is email the organisers before you go to get advice as they usually quite flexible if they are a good club.....goes without saying no trainers no jeans lol
